Reading, the 5th largest city in the state and the county seat of Berks County, is situated about halfway between Philadelphia and the state capital of Harrisburg, along a major transportation route between Central and Eastern Pennsylvania.
One of Reading’s claims to fame is that it was home to the very first outlet center in the nation, earning the city its “Original Outlet Capital of the World” nickname.
