Fleetwood – Moselem Springs Golf Club is an 18-hole regulation length par 70 course with gorgeous rural vistas and challenging play. Well-groomed fairways and greens make it a top choice in the area. Designed by George Fazio, the Moselem Springs course opened in 1964.
Fleetwood – Golden Oaks Golf Club features a beautiful 18-hole, 7,100-yard course designed by Jim Blaukovitch of Quakertown, PA in 1994. It’s considered a “Best in Berks” and has been rated with four starts by Golf Digest as one of the top places to play in the country.
Kutztown – The Berkleigh Golf Club consistently makes the Golf Advisor list of top courses in Pennsylvania. Designed in 1926 by Robert White, the first president of PGA of America, it offers a picturesque and challenging course with four sets of tees for different skill levels.
Leesport – The well-groomed 18-hole Willow Hollow Golf Course offers terrific views and challenging play for golfers at every skill level. Designed by Dr. Harvey Haupt, the somewhat hilly course opened in 1959.
Mohnton – The 18-hole course at Ledgerock Golf Club was designed by American golf course architect Rees Jones and opened in 2006. It offers gorgeous views and is known for challenging even the best of golfers with its many elevation changes. The course features five sets of tees for different skill levels.
Reading – Designed by Don Holloway, the 18-hole Chapel Hill Golf Course opened in 1991 and features 6,002 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70. Although it’s known as a friendly course for most players, the many water hazards will cause you to place your shots carefully.
Reading – Reading Country Club is located in Exeter Township. Designed in 1923 by Alex Findlay, the “Father of American Golf,” it ranks among the most challenging public courses in the area with tight fairways and bunkers on every hole that come into play.
Wernersville – Galen Hall Golf Club is located on historic South Mountain and offers a very hilly layout with challenging holes. The course was designed in 1912 by Alexander H. Findlay and A. W. Tillinghast, who created the club’s unique signature “Moat Hole,” a true island green at #15.
If miniature golf is more your style, don’t miss Shell’s Miniature Golf in Temple in Muhlenberg Township. The challenging 27-hole mini-golf course is fun for the entire family and has been a popular fixture for over 60 years.
