Fightin’ Phils Baseball – The Reading Fightin’ Phils, known as the Reading Fightins or just Fightins, are a Minor League baseball team that has been entertaining fans since 1967 at FirstEnergy Stadium. The team is the Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, one of the longest-running affiliations in Minor League Baseball.

Daniel Boone Homestead: Located in Birdsboro, the Daniel Boone Homestead is the site of the birthplace of famous American frontiersman Daniel Boone. The museum tells the story of the early 18th-century settlers in Pennsylvania’s Oley Valley as well as Daniel Boone’s youth, and the historic park is full of pleasant hiking trails and picnic sites.

Golden Oaks Golf Club – Located in Fleetwood, this club features a beautiful 18-hole, 7,100-yard course designed by Jim Blaukovitch of Quakertown, PA in 1994. It’s considered a “Best in Berks” and has been rated with four starts by Golf Digest as one of the top places to play in the country.

Mountain Biking –Reading has been designated as a national Bike Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists. Whether you are a novice or an advanced rider, you will find several scenic trail networks within 15 miles of Reading’s city center that wind their way through the woodlands, forest, country roads and breathtaking scenery of Berks County.

Santander Arena & Performing Arts Center – Whether you enjoy ice hockey, Broadway shows or great music, these two world-class venues are where you’ll want to be. The Reading Royals ice hockey team make their home here, and the venues attract top acts, including the Reading Symphony Orchestra.
